Sportswear

Sportswear is one of the easiest fashions us tall fellas can pull off.
Don’t get me wrong it can still go hideously wrong, there’s a fine line between sports casual and unmistakably chav. With sports wear we have the advantage of stretchy materials, loose fit track pants and baggy hoodies that if chosen in the right style can compliment a multitude of shapes and sizes.

A guy that pulls off the look effortlessly is Stephen Manderson aka Professor Green
Being 6ft 3 himself he knows the pitfalls of dressing for a taller frame but he pulls it off incredibly well.
So it’s no wonder that Puma snapped him him as their celebrity endorser. Pro wears the puma gear impressively and it fits brilliantly. In all honestly I haven’t bought anything Puma since I was an early teen but Mr Green has certainly peaked my interest in the brand

The trick to wearing sportswear and still looking socially acceptable is to
1. Wear it for the right event, obviously this is not appropriate for a sit down meal or night out attire
2. Don’t wear it too baggy, while being tall there is less risk of that, you could still run the risk of looking sloppy if their is no shape to the clothes.
3. Mix sportswear with smart wear, a jock jacket which are notoriously large (hey they have to fit American footballers) looks incredibly cool with some smart chinos or trousers and is a perfect way of pulling off smart casual

In short, go for casual…but don’t take it to the extreme!
